I am an educator, mentor, designer who frequently takes students with no CAD experience and crafting them into proficient Rhino 3D users. I place a large emphasis on making files 3D print ready, as well as preparing them for the 3 axis mill, 2 part molding, or laser cutting. Eva Magnisali is an architectural engineer, researcher and educator, currently working as a Research Associate at the University of Westminster, where she coordinates the Robotic Lab of the faculty of Architecture and Built Environment. Eva has taught a series of computational and robotic fabrication workshops at the UoW, and has also been a tutor at the Architectural Association since 2015, when she earned a Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory master programme. Additionally, Eva holds a Master of Architecture and Engineering with honours from the National Technical University of Athens.
Her research investigates the integration of design and robotic fabrication, currently focusing on robotic manufacturing of topologically optimized shell structures, using composite materials. As an architect, Eva has worked at Foster + Partners, where she developed computational design tools for the digital representation and fabrication of complex facades. She has also collaborated with renown practices, such as AKT II and Robofold. In parallel, Eva has organised several international conferences and she has given lectures and presented her work internationally.

Renata Portelada is a founding partner of LAS and an architect, graduated from Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo Mackenzie. She has been developing research in the area of generative design since 2011. She was tutor in the Parametric Design and Digital Fabrication during Mackenzie Architecture week, 2015, and assistant tutor in the AA Visiting School in 2014 and 2015. She has taught many workshops and courses on Rhinoceros and Grasshopper throughout Brazil. Today she develops research where generative design combines with three-dimensional projections and virtual and augmented reality.
